What to See & Do

Sámara loves to celebrate. You can enjoy the local culture during holidays, by going on a coffee tour, or by enjoying the local cuisine. 

Sámara is a great place to take surf lessons, rent kayaks or paddle boards, or simply go for a long swim. 

Take long walks on Carrillo Beach, go for a horse ride, take a yoga class, or enjoy leisurely meal at a beachside restaurant on Sámara Beach. 

There are fishing opportunities year round and several outfitters to take you on the water for a full or half day. 

There  are wonderful wildlife viewing opportunities in Sámara from howler monkeys to macaws, iguanas to blue morphos., humpback whales to crocodiles... there is always something to see!

Hike up the hill behind Casa Cavalier to Mirador la Torre, spot wildlife while ziplining with Wingnuts, or enjoy a guided hike at the Werner Sauter Biological Reserve.
